Ropecon has finished, and now we look onward to August! Once again, thank you to everyone who helped make the event so successful. We have lots of new folks joining us, so we've added some introductory scenarios into this month's schedule.

This month, signups are available for both GMs and players - if you've been itching to try your hand out at running a game, this is an excellent opportunity to do so! Also be sure to review the content warnings for SFS #6.04 on 28.8 and be prepared to discuss your preferences so everyone at the table can feel comfortable during the game.

Hi, I'm a newbie here from Ropecon

I'd like to join the 21.8. if possible, though I would need to create a new character for it. I'm interested Summoners since I've played one before with Pathfinder 1e and noticed that Tonkku mentioned it in relation to the 21.8. game. While I would of course be fine with other classes as well, would (possibly a second) Summoner be allowed on this game and how should I proceed/what should I purchase if I were to take a shot with a Summoner, for example would I need to own Secrets of Magic in Roll20 myself?

Awesome! One thing to note about adventures is the level range (notated here like '[3-6]', meaning the adventure is written for characters of levels 3, 4, 5, or 6). Characters in Pathfinder Society start at level 1 and gain levels with experience (12 xp = 1 level). As such, a newly-created character won't be able to play that adventure because they don't meet the minimum level requirement (3). But! You can use one of the level 3 or level 5 versions of the iconic characters ('pregens') and give the credit for the adventure to your new character so they're that much closer to leveling up.

Summoners are a lot of fun! It's always a grab-bag of what characters folks will have available to play, so bring what you enjoy playing because that's more fun for everyone than someone feeling like they have to play something they're not excited about.

To use an option from a resource that is not the Core Rulebook, Bestiary, or Lost Omens: World Guide, a player needs to own the resource in question (either in print or as a PDF from Paizo's website). Ownership of a resource in Roll20 does not satisfy that requirement, but Paizo and Roll20 have the option to sync accounts between the two platforms. With that, you should be able to use the receipt from the Roll20 purchase to get the PDF version either for free or at a discount. I know that owning those resources in Roll20 will make character creation quicker (as you can drag-and-drop things rather than having to create everything from scratch), but that might be the only benefit.

Dacilane Academy would get either Ranger 3 (Rinlasiel), Thaumaturge 4 (Narfi), Investigator 5 (Frisstik), Wizard 6 (Shende), or Swashbuckler 6 (Devan). Slight preference for higher-tier characters.
Secrets' choice is either Envoy/Soldier 12 (Stelek) or Soldier 10 (Serogen)

I can take a second table for either of those if needed.
